1. Who we are

Fund Recovery Legal is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. What data we collect

When you submit the enquiry form on this website, we collect only what you choose to give us:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number, and an alternative number if you add one
  • Your country of residence, if you provide it
  • Any description of your situation that you write in the form

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this website, and we do not track you across other sites.

3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis

We use the information solely to respond to your enquiry and to assess whether we can assist you. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, given when you tick the consent box on the form. If we go on to act for you, the basis becomes performance of a contract under Article 6(1)(b).

We will not use your details for marketing unrelated to your enquiry, and we will not sell or rent them to anyone.

4. Who we share it with

Your data is accessible to the staff handling your enquiry, and to the service providers who host our website, email and client records and who process data on our behalf under a written data processing agreement. We will tell you who they are on request.

We may also disclose information where we are required to by law or by our professional obligations.

5. How long we keep it

If your enquiry does not lead to us acting for you, we delete your details within 12 months. If we do act for you, we retain your file for the period required by the applicable professional and statutory rules.

6. Where your data is stored

Your data is stored within the European Economic Area. If any provider we use transfers data outside the EEA, that transfer is covered by an adequacy decision or by Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Have your data erased
  • Restrict or object to how we process your data
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out

To exercise any of these rights, email info@fundrecoverylegal.com. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you may lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

8. Security

This website is served over HTTPS and enquiry data is transmitted encrypted. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, but no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
